Hi "somebodies", yes I'm back six months after my last update, not that I've been away, neither in coma, at least fisical coma... The fact is that I'm a lazy bastard, but something made me wake from that lethargic mode.
The musical notes that wake me up, are played by The Twilight Sad, as the best things in live I found them casually.
Everything happened, when I was in a geek moment looking for artists gear (bass/guitar effects) in a forum, and than I saw a photo of some band that were touring with Mogwai. This argument was strong enough to look for them, but...
What I've heard in their myspace was something totaly over my expectations. Passing to what matters, their music, you will find not only a vocalist with tons of scottish accent, but also a voice full o melancholly.
Besides the great vocals, you will find guitars that creates great ambiences, either intense and violent, either extremely melodic that reinforce even more the sensations transmited by the scottish accent. All this combined, tranport you imediatelly to some lost love, some winter evening, some rainy day, anything that leaves you in a lethargic mode thinking about some unhappy past events. "My lethargy beaten by songs with the same mood. How odd is that?"
The curious about heir music is the fact that the intensity of the songs and their atmosphere don't turn them something that you'll never listen on radio in fact some of them have a radiofonic potential that isn't usual in this type of bands.
Genre: shoegaze, post-rock, indie
